About Me

Hello my name is Maxwell Blankenship; I’m a Mechanical Engineering student at the School of Engineering and Mines at the University of Alaska, Fairbanks (UAF). Currently I am in Junior Standing and will be beginning my senior year in the upcoming fall. I wish to work or volunteer as an engineering intern this summer in order to get my foot in the door and gain knowledge about the industry.

I was born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska. I grew up playing sports, hunting, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors. In high school I started gained intrigue in how different machines produce power and complete other tasks. In my free time I like to research and analyze machines to see if they can become more efficient. I also currently have a patent pending for an electric motor that I hope to get finalized within the year.

I am currently minoring in Aerospace at UAF and in the future would like to work in the aerospace industry.
